Just looked out the window and the roads are completely white once again with about 2" of snow,, so facing another 25mile ride home in the snow....wish me luck.

Ride safe all those facing a similar situation.

We've been getting better weather than England for once - we got loads of snow on Monday but it had been rained away by Tuesday. The snow today seems fairly light, and the roads have been gritted to buggery, so Ninja should be OK on his way home (but probably cold and wet).

Definately cold and wet! smile It's quite bad down here, I'm near Guildford and there was 9 inches of snow on Monday morning! They have gritted, but not very well and not at all on the smaller roads, so I've been in my car instead which is quite good on the ice (Subaru Impreza). I suppose it's only fair that you have better whether than us for a change!

Good luck. Scary enough on the C90 on an 8 mile round trip a day at the moment - let alone a proper bike and your distance!

Cheers for the concern lads n lassies,

Managed to make it home without any drama, only the last couple of un-treated miles were a bit on the hairy side with a few hills nearly getting the better of me.

Only a fresh dusting of snow on top of what was already there, so took the ninja once again.....made the journey alright although had a few drifiting moments.

Ride safe.

Stephen.
