Hi guys!

I've just given a nice home to no longer wanted 4L Chim!!!
It's on an S Plate in Blue Magnetique with blue leather.

Only problem is......

At only 5,3 im a bit of a shortarse Even with the seat as far forward as it goes i find im stretching a bit more than i'd like (i can reach the pedals) It looks like a cushion may be required....has anyone else found this a problem and if so what else can i do?

thanks!

Hiya Lemmonie. Congrats on the car!

Mrs Spooky is only 5' 2". The pedals on our Chim450 are as far forward as they can be, and she drives with the seat fully forward. However, she still has to employ the "swivel hip" technique! i.e., to depress the clutch fully, she has to stretch with her left leg. She says its a small cross to bear (especially as we can't really have a Tuscan cos she can't see over the dash!)

Nice one! Get yourself a set of Leven Pedals - if you get the longer extentions, your reach problem should be solved. They're only over in Essex, so you could even pop over and see them if you needed to.

Steve.

Yes the leven pedals are great, phone them up and have a chat, I got a set so that I can drive it with the seat right back and other half ( 5'1" ) can drive it with the seat all the way forward ( she needs a cushion for height ).

Ralph?

So it looks like Ralph and my Trev will be joining us. They don't sound very hot do they, but I'm sure their overall performance will not disappoint

I have a 1.2 Clio and a Chim, and it's fine, you soon get used to driving the ne one. It's easy to swap between the two despite what other people will tell you.

5ft 3" here.My pedals are as high as poss and i drive with seat nearly fully forward. You have to get used to the semi-lying down and driving postion then it's not a prob. except for when parking then i have to sit up..lol

That'll give the lads a run for their money

Nice one Lemmonie enjoy.

You also get the height of the seat changed. May get round the issue without having to buy new pedals. Unfortunately no handy levers for this one but I believe that it can be done quite easily.

With all the knowledge on here someone should be able to tell you. Or if you got it from a dealer I am sure that would be happy to tweek it for you.

We've got a Ka and a Griff 500. The Ka feels like driving a van after the Griff!

Coach's wife is around the 5' mark and they have put the leven pedel extensions on and bought a seat cusion (can't remember where from). This slips over the back of the seat and is taylored to match (it looks realy good). Mrs Coach drives it as her daily car and does not have any problems reaching the pedels. (Mr Coach gets to play at the weekends!.... with the car that is!)
He normally reads this area reguarly so hopefully he can give more details.

Yep - Chim Yellow is Right...

Mrs Coach is 4' 10"!!

Leven long pedals were fitted by her - you need to be SMALL to get in the footwell!

Addtionally we had the PROPER seat bolster made by the factory though TMS parts - it costs 160 squids

Mail me off line if you need photos or want to drop near us for a gander.
