Hi there, bought a tasty set of OZ alloys for my 21 turbo. Had them fitted today & the hub diameter is larger than the hubs on the rear of the car & the wheels are rubbing on the rear calipers. I need 5.00mm removed from the wheel hub to clear the calipers.
Other than attacking them with an angle grinder (which i don't want to do) i need to find a company with a lathe big enough to take a 16" wheel....

Hopefully someone on here will point me in the correct direction - i'm based in Sixpenny Handley (Salisbury/Blandford area)

Cheers chaps....

Try your local wheel refurbishers. They will use a local polishing company to do heavy machining work. That company will have the tooling that's needed. If no joy local, try the wheel specialist. Sure they will pass on who they use.

i think there's a company in fordingbridge who do wheel refurbs etc.. I had a set of diamond cut and polished faced alloys on my old '06 honda civic, and they refurbed them so must have had something big enough for 18" wheels....
I'm sure honda said it was co in fordingbridge, i may be wrong, but it could be a lead. Horizon honda in christchurch will tell you otherwise i should hope.

rgds and good luck.

That must be them. They re-faced the wheels on this previous car of mine, so must have some decent kit.

OK, quick update - WheelWorx can't do the machining but my local garage (in the village) knows a man who can.....Hopefully all will be sorted by the weekend.

Thanks for all you help..

All sorted, the wheels are back & now fitted - a company in Ferndown sorted the machining & did a good job. The wheels look great...
