Wierd one for ya: Three beeps from dashboard in E36 328
Discussion
I've recently started getting three beeps coming from the drivers side of the dashboard - god only knows what it is, anyone else heard this before?
No warning lights are on (apart from the knackerd fuel gauge, but thats been like that for 2 years and I've not heard it before), so I'm stumped.
Is she going t' blow cp'tn?

Do you have Check Control?
If you have a bulb out or low washer fliud etc., it might be a reminder.
Good point. If you have a bulb out or low washer fliud etc., it might be a reminder.
I'll investigate.
Anyone know where to get replacement bulbs for:
1. The obc unit
2. The rear spoiler brake lights?

Hi neil,
Just browsing through the forum in anticipation of my new car arriving this month, saw your post and felt compelled to register and reply.
The dreaded three beeps. They nearly caused me a nervous breakdown 8 years ago. Bought a 328 E36 from a main dealer and the beeping occured on the test drive. Told them I'd buy the car subject to them fixing the beeps. They didn't and a protracted legal saga began with them unable to fix it and unwilling to take the car back.
Long and short of it was that after many attempts at fixing it they eventually admitted defeat and replaced the OBC which probably cost them more than the profit they'd made on the car.
Regarding your link, there was nothing showing on my display and I'd have surely noticed if it was 'on the hour'.
Good luck.
