Fitting rear light pods?

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of fitting the later style rear light pods into a 93/94 Mk1 Chim?
It can't be that difficult can it? Can't really justify buying the pods for £100 then paying about £200 to fit them.
Mine won't need painting as the car is Chianti with smoked lens - i'm pretty sure the pods are black as standard inbetween the lights.
Are the Zertec pods advertised for £100 the same as the TVR units? Or just v. similar?
