Me boot catch is knackered. Can anyone tell me about a replacement, please.
The M-I-LAW, is flying out on her broom for a coupla weeks in the nooo year, so might be able to persuade her to bring one.

Brains being racked here... was it not the bonnet catch from a Ford Fiesta? Or is that the Wedge bonnet catch I'm thinking of...

Tha actual metal catch thingy or the motor that opens siad boot? I've got one of the latter.

Mika..this is probably gonna sound really stupid!
is it definately knackered or are you (like I and everyone else that has tried)trying to slam it shut?
cos it wont!!!
Dont all start laughing cos I bet its caught many a new owner out.

As per the mail above, it could also be that it it is out of adjustment. Will the mechanism lock in place if you push a screwdriver blade down onto the locking plate?

One reason its being a bugga, might be 'cause the spoiler was rubbin against the wheel arches a tad. So I took of the little rubber mounts,(Inside the boot lid) and put bigger ones on the stop it grounding. As to slammin it shut, OOPS.

Thats why it wont shut properly I guess. Will try and adjust it.

Still enjoy watching the look of the local Yanks check out the car, scratching their heads and trying to figure out, "what the f**k is it". Tee hee.

Use the original size rubber mounts but lots of them, three times as many.
