Golf TDI 1.9 2006 sticking in reverse

parner bought Golf 1.9 TDI 2006 recently - on occasions it sticks when in reverse gear, I've experienced it too and is a nightmare to get out.

Have car booked in next weds - but thought I'd ask if anyone has experienced similar? (google search lead me to someone saying 1.9 tdi 2006 gearboxes faulty?)

Also, worried problem probably won't happen when at VW so nothing will be done to rectify it?..

Is it the Golf Plus or is it the normal Golf? Also whats the mileage?

I would have thought been a 2006 model you should sitll be covered by warranty.

Normal Golf, 20k miles - it will be convered by warranty - just wanted to check if anyone had experience similar problems/or could guess what it could be..
