From memory, 13.5 volts.

I think 14.4 is when things start to fry!

Thanks simpo two. What could cause the reading to go over 13.5?

Voltage depends on the electrical equipment your running. Should be roughly speaking between about 13-13.5v as a min. I've resently replaced my alternator and this is what I get. The lower end of the scale is with the cooling fans running, the head lights on and the heater fan full belt.

If your voltage goes a lot over 14v then the regulation of the voltage is not being correctly controlled by the alternator electroninics. Get it checked if this is the case because things will start to see higher current flows than they should and this will cause component damage over time.

Um!! a TVR guage being accurate? I think the only way to check would be with a proper meter. My TVR volt meter drops by 2v when i have the heater blower and brake lights on, i know its not true though.
