I-Pod for A8

Hello,

I'm just about to take delivery of an 2004 A8 4.0 TDI. It has the BOSE upgrade but no I-Pod attachment. Audi say they don't do one.

What's the best way of doing this?

There is an adaptor you can get from the main stealer, suggest you ask them for the info. IIRC it is not a VAG part so you can then order it much cheaper from the web.

I'll ask him again. When i mentioned it he reckoned you couldn't adapt it.

Wouldn't be the first time a salesman was wrong!

He is an expert on all things MMI, and fitted an interface IPod adaptor to my a8.
Full functionality through the MMI controls and screen. Voice recognition does not work though.
He also installed TV in motion, and updated sat nav software to 3D view.

really, i thought the 500 just had more video inputs etc
