Hi 3200GT, apologies to simply jump on the bandwagon for a copy. I go to collect my 3200GT from a seller in the south of the UK at the weekend and having read many many articles and reviews about this beautiful car, I feel a set of the workshop manuals you've been so generously sharing may prove invaluable to have......please and thanks in advance!

The model I have purchased is the 2001 Auto in deep metallic-pearlescent green. It has a few signs of minor wear in the bodywork (3 x isolated rust spots and a few sponge style scratches) but when the sound of that V8 is unleashed with a swift jab at the throttle, it simply makes all the minor visual imperfections disappear.

Can't wait to get it home and polish it back to showroom condition! Headlights and side indicator lenses do show some heavier signs of age/wear/fogging so will be looking to remove and clean or replace these. Mechanicals and electrics will be checked out by a service specialist in Notts area and hopefully prove to all be in tact and in good working condition.

This car is being sold with vast comforting Service History, bills, receipts, invoices etc and also with many Ferrari Centre servicing stamps so am hopeful that this iconic motor will keep me going for many years.

You may gather from my message that I'm a little excited to be able to join the elite club and finally own a Maserati 3200GT V8 Coupe!!

Will await manuals patiently.

Many thanks,
Marlon (aka The Perishers Vroom Vroom)

You're a star 3200GT - many thanks again. Appreciate your generosity and I too hope she ends up being everything I want.

Hi LDM - Thanks too for your congratulations. Can't wait to turn heads on the roads with it in the Summer.

Will post an update in a few weeks once I've had chance to drive it and have it professionally checked over. If this is to be an investment for the future then any money spent on it now will only prove to be worth it in the future - he hopes :-)

Cheers

Update for current audience:
Took ownership of the beauty yesterday as the seller kindly offered to deliver it for me. Saved me a lengthy first drive in it I guess. After a bit of hassle sorting some insurance out on-line and having to wait until 9:30am this morning to get it resolved with Customer Services, I finally got to drive it properly. Only did a few miles to get the feel of it and I did manage to hang on successfully as I opened it up briefly on a 'quiet' stretch of dual carriageway to entertain both myself and my son who is still staring at it even now, open-mouthed and going "Dad, Dad....its...its....its a V8!" LOL bless him.

So the first drive (via a petrol station - no doubt will be adding him to xmas card list) is over for today and here's a list of issues found so far..... 1. one ABS light on, 2. Two ABS lights on, 3. one ABS light on, 4. Speedo has broken. Hmmmm, the ownership shine has been a little tarnished I must confess with these 'issues'. I can hear the sounds of a cash register draining my savings account already! Workshop Manuals from 3200GT are going to be covered in oil sooner than expected :-(

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting to have 100,000 trouble free motoring miles in it but did expect to get well past 10 miles before encountering any issues! I keep telling myself it's what I signed up for and I must expect some faults due to the complexity and age of these cars. I still love it however and I will cherish it for as long as my pocket (and wife) allow. Will be phoning the Maserati garage Monday to get it booked in for the 80+ point vehicle inspection and then sit back and await their verdict on whether I did good with this one.....or not.

Will keep you posted.....

Hi TomNbk, Would be great to meet up at some stage - sounds like the best place initially is gonna be at the Mas Garage :-( ? Seriously though, let me get to grips with this motor and its fun little quirks for a while and we can sort something I'm sure :-)

Contigo - Now thats just showing off - lol. Which do you prefer - Auto or manual? Some reviews claim the auto4 has the edge for a 2001 model? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts seeing as you can test drive each one after the other {inserts envious icon}

Just realised too that I may have hi-jacked this forum page from its intended purpose - sorry, will look to create a new page if preferred?

Cheers for now

Hi all. Proud new owner of a 3200GTA and like just about everyone else here would really appreciate a copy of the workshop manual. I am planning on going to the Laon Historique at the end of May this year and just deciding whether to take the Maserati or the TR4A which I have taken there before!! Thanks in advance.

Vroom that is bad luck mate, when you say ABS lights one two etc.. I assume you means that the ABS red circle is lit constantly? Or does it say "NO ASR" in red letters on the DIS?

If you need any help let me know and also let me know where you are based, I can read the codes on these cars if you get a check engine light etc... I also have a few spare parts like ABS pump etc....

PM me or come along to sportsmaserati forum as we know alot about these cars and will help you run them without crippling your savings.

smile

Oh and the two crs are so very very different. I love the manual for it's driving involvement but the Auto is so smooth and actually easier to drive FAST!

My manual has had an exhaust mod and people loved it at the Bristol italian festival yesterday.

Hope to hear from you mate!

Hi all, I own a QP V8 Evo -98. Since I have not been able to locate the workshop manual for this car (I only got for pre-Evo V6) I would really appreciate if I could get access to the 3200 manual! I currently have no focumentation on the V8 Biturbo engine.
