Morning all

The other morning on my way into work I hit a large pot hole on the motorway... I took the car to have the wheels balanced yesterday and was told two of the wheels are buckled. I've logged a claim with the Highways Agency who are sneding me a claim form. Does anyone know if buckled wheels can be repaired and if so where? BMW want the best part of £1000 for 2 new wheels. The tyre fitter tried to balance them as best he could but there is still vibration at speed. Its a 335d running 19" MV double spoke alloys (with non runflats)

Cheers

I think you can, try google bucked alloy wheel repair.

The thing is would you want too.?. Personall I think I would bite the bullet and have replacements for peace of mind.

Try having a shop around too for replacements.

I buckled one of my front wheels a while back and was told not to get it repaired (and IMO it was only a slight buckle). They can be repaired, but "it copromises the integrity of the wheel", whatever that may mean.

I'd be on fleaBay, seeing if there's anything on there.

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions - other than ebay, does anyone know of any OEM BMW wheel suppliers or should I expect to just bend over and take the hit (£500 per wheel..). I can't find the right wheels on ebay at present.
