I can not post on there as im a newby but , i have been there a couple of times my advice is DO NOT go to Valderamo or what ever its called it is a touristic st hole , both time i went i stayed in central Havana which has some beautiful hotels Havan is a great city safe and heaps of fun and some beautiful areas, take a trip to Maria La Gorda on the western tip of Cuba unspoilt and very beautiful with some of the best diving i have ever done

The people we met without fail hated Castro and the system but seemed happy , Cuba exports Doctors to many countrys in south America and has a medical system second to none (apart from hi tech equipment) Cuba has one of the highest rates of literacy in the world and is as mentioned a leading force in bio medical stuff

Not sure what your point is ? Not flaming you, just wonder why you've posted this on here not Trip Advisor. I could understand it if you had posted lots of pics of old Chevvies etc.

Edited as my the thread was moved to a more appropriate forum as I posted.

Carry on......

Varadero - great place to base your entire trip, something for all the family - I went to Havana and whilst I appreciate the history and architecture it was not for me.

There are other areas if you want a more "secluded" holiday.

I take it you got your high dose PPG from a local pharmacy (a cholesterol lowering drug as it seems some of your contributions appear to be occasionally a touch argumentative around here and we ouldn't want any coronaries ) or if you are not getting it at home due to a touch of brewers droop or want to impress the Polish girlie smile it is also known as the Cuban Viagra
