It was a bit spontaneous on my side. I thought of discussing with owners who have had their cars longer than me, how to go about presenting Lee with something on behalf of all appreciative owners. In the end, I figured the sentiment would be carried by everyone there.
The gift was a Winter Jacket from my company SCOTT Sports, for all the Winter Testing days ahead.
My 3R colour is Crystal Topaz (pearl). I had to supply the paint recipe for the factory in SA before they would take on the task. After completing the job they confirmed they would never do another pearl or flip paint job again.
It was bit of a gamble selecting the colour, but overall I'm completely stoked with the look and the finish.
Here's to the next owners Track Day. (I'll place good money it's being organised very soon)

For the future, I would be happy to bring some demo bikes to an owners track day if anyone interested? Maybe do a lunchtime ride round the circuit when it is closed for lunch.
I'll speak with Simon at the factory and see what he thinks.
Could start another thread to gauge interest?

It looks good. I was a bit surprised that they won't do complex paint jobs (presumably after you put them off!). I reckon it does a lot for TVR sales - I certainly wanted a Tuscan badly when I saw one with a lovely red/gold flip drive by just after they came out.

I was suprised they couldn't do pearlescent too - it's not exactly leading edge anymore. Mine came over in primer and was painted in the UK...

I hope I did not put the factory off doing anymore special paint jobs...
From what I understand, it took the paint boys in SA longer than they anticipated to do the job. This held up production (through put of cars) through the paint shop.
So this delayed production does not happen again, they decided not to provide the facility at the factory of Special Paint jobs in SA. But if any customers did want a special paint, they would provide a primer coat that could be finished in the UK to the customers specification. Re: Hugo's car.
