Removing the rear wing - why? out of interest. I've just fitted a new factory one to mine (£520 which is seriously OTT so have a mould to make my own for my other car). Anyway it came with 4 steel legs moulded in - two short & 2 long. Not aware of the alloy spacers but try Mike Williams in the spares department at the factory but be prepared for serious money.
Oil. I always use Mobil 1 in any performance engine and yours should be a solid lift motor with good hp so would suggest using this.

Oil - don't forget Mobil 1 also come in Motor sport
grade.. which better suites the Rover V8.

Probably be cheaper to buy your own lathe and milling machine and make your own...

Well aye. There's a Bridgeport turret mill just gone on Ebay for 3p short of £460. OK so it was 415V 3-phase and full-manual, but these things can be resolved.
I have a Bridgeport 1ES that I paid £230 for, ex-school so no hard work and only a couple of broken feed handles. Converted it to single-phase and Robert's your ma's bro. I'm currently debating whether to add my mate's father's BCA Mk. 2 miller to my workshop!
Lathes: depends on whether you want a full-size machine or a 'model engineer's' version, like the Myford series. If you want the latter, be prepared to pay through the nose, even for a heap.
If you have the space and can do a single-phase conversion, you can pick up ex-machine shop lathes at auction for buttons (mate of a mate has a tidy South Bend that he paid £35 for a couple of years ago. One of the things that made me look for one).
I have two Mellors; pre-war but massively built things. One sold on Ebay a couple of weeks back for £366, and it was missing all sorts of bits.
Check out 'Tool, Industrial' on Ebay for some bargains (and some crap ).

Ian

Edited to add: see www.lathes.co.uk for a brilliant machine tool archive and loads of tech stuff!

I removed the rear spolier on mine -- to clean under it -- It was completely filthy -- it's pretty easy -- four bolts to remove -- The problem I had was the rubber bungs wasted away when I touched them - so I cut a new set. I always use Mobil 1 -- but I know that a few other wedge owners have used different flavours of oil with no side effects.
