No my cup of tea. That would be far too much like living in an office.

what about this then...

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/new-homes-for-sale/prop... apparantly built in 1996? didn't look like a new build to me.
I'm not a particular fan of new houses, and especially hated some of the mcmansions that were posted recently, but that at least has a bit of style and proportion about it.

There are elements of the inside that I'd have to change but, on the whole, I could live there.
Well the sitting room would have to become the formal dining room and the family room my study and the garage is tiny but it's ok I guess. Not £2m worth though...

Modern features? Check.
Period features? Check.
Enough land (for me)? Check.
Gardeny bits to keep SWMBO busy? Check.
Pistonheadedness? Check.

Want.

Not bad, garage parading as a castle is a bit kitch and it's in Scotland but then I guess it's affordable so you can't have everything.

I'll pass on this one. Obviously MJ built it to his own personal taste, but it lacks elegance and character IMHO.

Looks like Hamilton Square in Birkenhead.

ETA which means you certainly wouldn't want to live there!

Sack the architect who put that carbuncle on the left side - very poor attention to detail
