TomTom XL wont turn on
Discussion
They do go flat surprisingly quickly if not used for a while. Are you sure it actually charged - did the green light come on and stay on? Sounds as if the battery is still flat. Some USB chargers are better than others at maintaining a connection - if you have another charger with a mini-USB connector give that a try.
When charging up mine I switch it on, touch Navigate To.. and then Home. This displays the charging symbol. Daft way of having to do it but you do know when the unit is fully charged.
If you are sure it is fully charged it might be that you aren't holding down the 'on' button for long enough. It may require several seconds though it isn't usually too long.
Otherwise it might be a trip to Halfords

I had a secondhand TomTom One that did a similar thing. Did not seem to like being run-down too much as if it was run flat it would then need nigh on 2 days charging before it would even turn on. Once I realised this I made sure it was always plugged in when ever turned on or in use. Unfortunately it eventually died completely last month and would not turn on at all despite the green light on charger suggesting it has full charge.
Warranty expired long time ago so I just accepted it had reached the end of its life. Obviously I would'nt accept the same from a virtually brand new one like Tom's.
