Any recommendations for films to watch? Running out of stuff to watch
Looper.
Yes! Wow! Great movie, well filmed JG-L is excellent in mannerisms and well made up. OK - so a tad light on story/ending; Mrs B thought it a tad gory but I didn't really notice.
Particularly liked the way the little "time hiccoughs" worked their way in.
Great interaction close up between BW and JG-L and, at the other end of the spectrum, some great wide, lingering landscape shots as well as dark city scenes really moved the pace around nicely.
Love it all - best of its genre since Inception. 9/10

Chornobyl Diaries - 5.5/10
Watched this last night and found it rather tense to start with (im not a big horror fan though) but as the film went on it got a bit daft.
The ending was just stupid and ill thought out, a good film ruined.
It was dissapointing because its set in one of the best locations for a horror movie ever the ghost town of Pripyat. I know most of it wasnt filmed there but its still spooky as hell to watch and rather interesting. Its rather true to the town from the pictures ive seen.
just a shame they went down the route the did with the movie.

Killer Elite - finally. Been meaning to watch this for ages.
Despite the negative comments here for this film, I quite enjoyed it. Yes, nearly every character comes off being unsympathetic but set in 1980, morals were different I suppose.
I particularly enjoyed spotting the variety of cars available then. It must take some serious work to be able to populate a film with quite so many.
Brain-off enjoyment for me. I'm going with 7/10.

Saw this last night, agree with most of what you said, however I thought the kid stole the show. Anyone that likes 12 monkeys / inception etc. should give it a watch. Very well done but I'm just not sure about the ending. I won't say anymore as it would be a spoiler but I just left thinking there could have been a better way to get to the same end result.Yes! Wow! Casino Royale
Re-watched in preperation for Skyfall. Much as I remember it really; Starts well with Daniel Craig immediatley bringing Bond inline with modern cinema goers expectations for more brutal violence. The fights seem more real here than in any of Bonds previous outings. The pace then dips somewhat with the overly long card game in the middle. I appreciate this is the key element of the book the films is based on, however it's tempting to fast forward this part of the film on repeat viewings as nothing really happens. They don't even play the same game as the book after all. This is then followed with a car chase seemingly inserted as nothing more than product placement for the then concept DBS.The pace then again falters with a painful to watch bit of torture and lengthy recovery. Then its on to the sinking house finale.
At no point did I feel any real chemistry between Daneil Craig and Eva Green and as a result didn't buy into Bond being damaged by what happens in the end.
One of the great things about Bond films is how well they stand up to repeat viewings. I don't think this can be said of Casino Royale. It is however far, far superior to the awful Quantum of Solace That came next. Daniel Craig makes a great Bond he just needs a story that can match his intensity. Fingers crossed for Skyfall.

Did either of you know how bad it was going to be before you watched it? If so, what possessed you?!
I have just read the parental guide on IMDB and, well, I just can't believe anyone would make that let alone watch it!
Makes A Serbian Film sound like Bambi.
I'd watched the first one after hearing everyone talk about it. It was nasty but not 'that' badI have just read the parental guide on IMDB and, well, I just can't believe anyone would make that let alone watch it!

Hadn't heard anything about the second one and just decided to give it a watch as I was a bit bored the other night. Had no idea it was going to be as graphic/sick as it was
I'd still recommend it for lonely nights at home though
Rock of Ages. Yep I loved it to, mainly watched it for TC and thought he was brilliant but really enjoyed it.
Insidious. Watched this because we went to try and see sinister but it was sold out. Really enjoyed it, especially when my partner screamed her head off at a few scenes would recommend it.

I loved Casino Royale, the best bond film ever made imho. The sinking house finale was a bit OTT, but other than that it was perfect.
Loved it. Even the card bit. The opening scene in black and white, along with the toilet fight scene was one of THE best Bond scenes I thought. 'The itch' scene was superb as well.
