Removing rear brake disc

noooo.should be a case of just removing the caliper bracket,tapping the disc all round with a hammer to free it from the hub and it should come away easily.mine were quite tight on the hubs and needed a bit of abuse to get them off.

There is also a threaded hole that can be used with appropriate sized nut to remove stuck discs.

yes - threaded hole, life gets so much easier when you discover the threaded hole and an approproiate sized nut to get the disc off!
i bashed the smeg out of the rear disks to no avail... or even getting a blow torch on it.
mate found a nut that fitted in his garage, and we had the disc off with a couple of twists and a few taps

The secret hole! Got the bits from a local motor factors this morning, fitted calipers and discs, bled the system and when test driving noticed I had to pump the pedal so... Rear wheels off checked everything and guess what - one of the calipers was leaking just under the handbrake mechanism! Hope they have a replacement for me in the morning.
