Lost the favorites on a 520

Updated the map on a Tom Tom 520 and seem to have lost all the favorites, any suggestions how I can get them back ? I did a backup before installing the new map but if I restore to that it will just put the old map back. Have looked at the files and can’t see anything that is obviously the Favorites data.
