Must be someone who has the car like mine. Red seats, red carpet, red and black dashboard.
We should all get together and swap ideas ?

Yours is a black 1.6? I have an R-Limited, essentially the same but a blue 1.8. Love the interior!

I've got a VR-A Limited.

Yeah, yeah - I know it's not an 'S' - but it's Ltd - so halfway there smile

It does brighten up the interior a bit doesn't it? Mine is a bit sombre - black car, black hood, black interior frown

I'm not a big fan of chrome but it could use something to brighten it up...

Same, I originally wanted a Tan interior until I realised that they are all banjaxed, worn out with knackered seats. Dont hide the miles like the black.
Mines black car, Black roof, black interior.

I really like the S-ltd, but again the seats look like they wear a bit more than black cloth. I am thinking about some coloured door cards (dark red or something) and introducing a bit of colour and shine to mine.

That one looks good, not keen on the wheel though.

I am unsure about getting it chromed too. I keep thinking it will spoil and when you start chroming you have to chrome everything in interior. In mine the silly last owner cut a hole under drivers dash to put a fog light switch in instead of using the proper fog light switch. How mad is that? Yesterday I found money under the carpet so next weekend will try and take seats out and clean under carpet as its manky. How do I remove seat bolts (with difficulty?).

With a star (torx) socket - 4 bolts for each seat. It's dead easy as long as they will move. One of mine wouldn't budge and there wasn't much clearance so left it to my mechanic to do. Put a bit of copper grease on the thread for next time!

If you find Japanese coins they are put there at the factory for good luck! smile

My seat bolts are just regular a 12mm (ish) bolt... 4 per seat, plus one for each of the belt anchor points. Takes a couple of minutes max!

lovely interior in those, I did a bit or retrimming to brighten up mine, as the car is away being fixed I don't have any decent pics, but this one gives u a slight idea.

White car, black roof, black and white interior.

A torx bolt has a special head with an internal start shaped pattern - use a star shaped torx bit in a ratchet to undo it - you can get them at Halfords or any other motor factor.

Now I am sitting down thinking about it, it is my other car that uses Torx bolts on the seats paperbag You want a regular 12mm socket (IIRC) for the Mazda. Check first though.
