Seat Leon TDi FR - just bought one!

We've just purchased a silver (Luna Grey) 08 plate TDi FR with 9.5k on the clock. Seems to be a very nice car, not the quickest off the line but in gear the torque and turbo seem to push along very nicely indeed.
Anyone else on here got one? Just wandering what ownership is like, is the car pretty cheap to run in the real world and what are the Seat dealers like to deal with for possible warrany issues and servicing. Also are there any common problems/faults to look out for. I'm aware we still have 2 years of manufacturers warranty left which should cover any such problems - also are there any recall notices we should make sure have been done?

I had the previous shape version see my profile, it was a great car and I did 125K miles in it from new. Front tyres seemed to wear out fairly quickly 11-15,000 per set the norm. Had it serviced at Stoneacre Seat in Peterborough, they were bad at first but seem to be much better recently. Tried Marshall Seat once in Cambridge and they were awful so never went back. Seems to depend on the franchise as we use Marshall Volvo in Peterborough and they are very good. Hope you enjoy the car, good choice IMO.

I have had an FR - TDI for nearly 2 years now. Very happy with it. Quite chuckable, now it has over 35K on the clock it is quite quick. Have been through 2 exhaust gas pressure sensors that will eventually pop you into get home mode if you ignore the check engine light too long. Had a suspension alignment issue that wore the tyres strangely (tread stepping) and made it sound like an old landy whirring along on knobbly tyres! All sorted out under warranty inc. Tyres.
Company hack so not paying for servicing etc. but seems to need one every 10K or so on the variable countdown thing. I get around 40mpg and I dont drive as "economically" as I should
In short - I think good VFM over the equivalent Audi or Golf

I've got one and apart from being delivered new scratched it's been fine - now 7 months old and 8.5K miles in - does exactly what it says on the tin - it's my car for work so spends time driving up and down motorways and is quick enough and economical enough.......so far so good......
