2007 335i

I have just brought a 335i conv, 5000 miles from a dealer, is it me or do the engines sound a bit tappety, is this normal or is there a known fault, I still have a warranty till sept 2010 so am tempted to get it looked at but didnt want to go and look a complete idiot,
Any advice welcome.

I have the 3.0L direct injection engine and you can hear the injectors as a light taping noise as they fire at tickover.
But if concerned worth getting it checked as there was a recall on direct injection injectors last year.

Any pics? I would love one, but i cant afford the hit i would take on my 535d at the moment. My local stealer has a red manual m sport one with black leather, but i darent even take a test drive.

'after' is a strong word. I really like them but i'd struggle to justify to myself the no doubt massive hit on my 535d.

Well the status quo has been disrupted hasnt it? People could buy wisely drive for 6-12 months and then not lose a shed load if you were canny.
