Help with Posting
Discussion
Is there anywhere on the site which helps, with posting quotes in full, or parts, in your own post. I've got the hang of quoting full quotes, but when I try to pick a number of quotes, I seem to fall down. I don't want to practice on real threads, as I think it will really irritate other users.
When you click Quote or Reply, open in a new browser tab or window, Also open Formatting Help, And look at that.
Quotes generally sit in [ quote ] here [ / quote ] but with out the spaces.
If you want to disect someones post into numerous quotes, quote reply them (into a new tab/window) and delete all text bar the first [ quote (with username)] and the end [ / quote ] Then just highlight, copy and paste as many times as you wish to split, and copy and paste the original text from your other window, showing the thread.
Now, that makes sense to me, I'm sure if it doesnt read right someone else may be along to correct me.
So..
