After ferrying the 400SE from down south, noticed a small coolant weep from the base of the expansion tank neck (not the cap).
Any ideas on sourcing an expansion tank or a suitable repair?
Temperature was okay all way.........fans serviceable in traffic etc.

Probably Capri. There should be a Ford part number stamped on it that you can use at a dealer.

Richard Thorp at Wedge or RT racing sells fabricated ones. He used to fit a lot and used to keep the originals; he may still have a lot left.

The same question came up here on an earlier thread (that I can't find). The expansion tank is from a 2.8i Capri.

Paul,
What's it like then? Given it "large" yet?

Stick some gum over the leak and live with the car for a bit until you get to find all the "I ought to fix that" items then get all the bits sorted together.

Pleanty Piccies required asap

In the plastic somewhere... Might need to unbolt it and look underneath.

However you could have the car that was made during the full moon when they ran out of bits and used one from a rare Skoda V8 Turbo Estelle GLS that was sitting in the car park...

According to the parts listing in the maintenance section of this site its Ford part no. 6061947. The parts listing was correct when I recently needed to order a replacement bonnet catch (Ford Fiesta!).

{i}redwedge5 - I've just realised that you are posting via 'The Wedge Pages' and that therefore your reference to "this site" is a reference to www.tvrwedgepages.co.uk/ and not to www.pistonheads.com - Streaky
