The MX needs two new tyres - the front ones are nearing the legal limit. There is plenty of tread on the rears but depending on prices I can get I may just replace all four.

Currently on there are Bridgestones (I think).

I was looking at putting on the Goodyear GSD3's in 205/45R16 but Camskill prices these at £87 each. The Toyo T1-R are £64 each. I wanted to get a vague idea of which people would go for (or an alternative) before I ring the local tyre centre and try and get them to price match!

I put a set of Toyo T1-R's on mine - great price/performance combination

What's the view of Avon ZV3 or ZZ3's? Anyone used them?

I'd go for the F1s if you can stretch that far but if you can't the Toyos aren't far behind.

I had the F1s on my Mondeo and my Ibiza before then so I know they are a good tyre. Will see what sort of deal I can get on them.

What are people's thoughts on having different branded tyres on the front and back - an issue?

Thanks, I figured that might be the case.

Not a problem as long as they are the same type of tyre i.e. don't mix summer/performance and all-weather tyres.
Also, always make sure you have the best tyres on the rear.
