Odometer stopped at 29,999 !!!
Discussion
Following on from the boot that does not shut on my Chim, now I discover that the odometer has called it a day (and tripometer), and stopped at 29,999 miles!!
Is this a common problem?, if so, is there any solutions to it,,, it is tempting to leave it for a few thousand miles , but I would not like that done to me if I bought a car from someone, (I will maybe trade it in for a Tamora or Tuscan one day!), so I would like this fixed ASAP!
Could I fix it, or will it be a specialist garage job!!!
Cheers, (again!)

Although mine fixed itself more or less immediately on every other occasion, it stuck at 33,999 until I got the car serviced at ~40K. The dealership sent it off to be fixed and clocked forward, but it still sticks a bit. Your best bet is to make sure you keep a good record of petrol, so that if it does stick for a while you:
a) know when the next service is really due
b) can give any future buyer some confidence in the mileage reading
