What is the exterior differences between a sport and a non sport on the current A3 sportback?

Does sport = S-line kit?

Is the bodywork (metal) different at all or is it just different 'trim' bits (ie. sills, bumpers spoilers etc)

Thanks in advnace for your knowledgeable replies....

s-line is 18" alloys, badges, chin spoiler, different boot spoiler and different (lower) suspension

sport is 17" alloys, no badges, no chin spoiler and small boot spoiler

Cheers - what about the sills?

They always seem to look more 'flared' & pronounced on a Sport or an S-line

than on base model

Is it:

- Trim parts only
- Different bodywork
- Opical Illusion/my eyes playing tricks

I noticed on the Audi website, the have 'side skirts' as an accesory option - are these standard on a Sport or an S-Line?

no sills on my sport I think, don't recall them on an s-line although I could be wrong

keep your eyes peeled tomorrow when you're out and about, you're soon to spot one as there's thousands of them about smile

I have the brochure at work, I'll post it tomorrow (lists the full specs for base, SE, SPort and S-Line).

my S-Line doesn't have skirts on it, and I think all the panels/arches are the same but Sports and S-Lines sit lower than an SE, S-Line being the lowest but with bigger alloys they fill the aches more, which may give the illusion. I'd drive them all if you can.

I have a love/hate relationship with the S-Line suspension, it's very good when you want a spirited drive, but very crashy when you want to cruise, particularly bad on B-roads. Apparently Eibach Pro springs iron some of this out for about £300 fitted
