AUDI A6 2.7 TDI Q, 2006

Can anyone help, with this? I am lookimg to purchase Audi a6 2.7tdi 2006 model. It has 53k miles last serviced at about 40k miles.

What I wanted to know was if it has a cam belt or chain?, if belt when should it be changed.

Chain, should last indefinitely

Thanks Dr G, just wanted to make sure before I hand over the ££, it will be my first Audi, picking it up Friday.

I bought the same car just this weekend, and I checked as well - definitely chain-driven.
