Grotty door hinges

Has anyone ever done anything to smarten up the Chimaera door hinge area, which on mine is quite grotty and spoils the look when the door is open. (Mind you the car is yellow which makes it more noticeable.) Thought it might just be dirt but cleaning it didn't make much difference. Any idea how much it would cost?
