Evening all,

The good lady and i are planning on honeymooning in Jamaica this December after our nuptuals. I've been informed that i will be allowed to play golf during our fortnight away, and most of the hotels we're looking at have inclusive golf deals.

Some don't, however.

Any idea how much green fees cost over there? and i notice caddies and buggies are mandatory, how much do they run you at?

It would be nice to have a few rounds out there, but if we're talking crazy amounts then i might just have to sunbathe!

Why go to Jamaica?. Its an awful place & very unsafe. Most tourists stay behind the walls of there hotel as a result of the unfriendliness of the locals who hate whites & are jelous of there supposd wealth. Kingston is the absolute pits but even in Montego Bay I was amazed at the hostility shown to tourists. I was even told by a local that he could arrange to murder some one for Jamaican $50 (which is peanuts). I had to spend 4 weeks in the wretched place but never again.

Well that wasn't my experience when I visited at Christmas last year. Freindly lot who like abut of banter while trying to sell you copious amounts of herbal stuff..hippy
I never played golf while there but with the heat van see why you would want a buggy. Course that I did see why passing look very nice and in good nick.

Visits worth doing IMHO dunns river falls, negril beach, bob Marley museum, a local Market a great experience if you lime the banter/haggling. Think of some more later..

I hate I when people knock Jamaca,I think they have really improved things since they took on the cricket world cup. E stayed in ochio and felt safe going out at any part of the day and eve. I know you probably wouldn't of 10 years ago, so they have even doing something about it's shaddy past.
What people forget too is It still is a really poor country so there's a lit of competion between the locals to sell you anyhting they can. I can underStand some feel imtimidated sometimes but they really are harmless.
