VW Stealer Servicing...It's the service dept not parts!

Just been to my local VW garage today to order some wheel centre caps, and at the back of the service department I always take a note of how much the Long Life oil is, so when buying I know how much I am saving.

Today 5litre of Long Life 3 was priced up at £41 not sure on VAT inc/exc but the 1 litre bottles were £18/19 each whilst I appreciate the premium to smaller quantities/packaging I joked with the service team how much they charged for it as part of a service (bearing in mind they probably buy it in a 45 gallon drum), his response was £18/litre.

Cheek robbing gits! Now I know why I use OpieOils

Not sure, but apparently the latest Long Life is comparably priced with the time/distance oil. So why don't they just stick to one or two oils thesedays.
