The petrol smell returned again last week. Blamed the clips on the recently replaced rubber outlet pipe but the boot was filling up with petrol this time.
The ali petrol tank has gone porous near to the outlet in sump of the tank. Not at the weld, through the metal!
Anyone got a spare tank in good nick that the don't want?

Douglas Valley breakers might be your best bet (do a
Google) and then get a good engineer to fit the replacement. Good luck,

I had my petrol tank let go.

I heard that the tank had split.

Castle TVR had it welded for me, it still had an eight foot flame come out of it whilst welding it

About £250 to have done.

A new tank would have been about £300 + labour.
