My neighbours are planning a new kitchen and really want a curved unit as shown below:

It's from a brochure called 'Stoneham' and the design is called 'Elan', in light oak. They just need the wall unit version (ie 350mm deep not 600mm) but have been quoted £800 by the shop.

So I said I'd help and throw it to the PH kitchen experts - is it possible to get this unit + door from anywhere else at a more reasonable price?

Looks like a fairly standard unit to me.

Even the local Wickes/B&Q/Howdens does curved units in that shape. Not sure about the finish but I'm sure you can find something off the shelf very similar.

The oak door is the issue, and of course it will have to match the other units perfectly. I got a similar gloss white unit for my own kitchen from the new B&Q range for about £190; I really can't believe an oak door is worth an extra £600!

I can get hold of kitchens at trade prices mate - if you get me the sizes & colour etc I'll see what I can do if you like? I use J&J Ormerods in Lancs if you want to look at the website.

Thanks for the offer, but I can't see that design on their site. It's oak veneer which looks slightly 'shaker style' but is actually flat.
