Honda Sat Nav Systems

Does anyone have any advise about the Honda Sat Nav systems? I recently purchased a new car with one installed but it is sending me the long way around everywhere although I have set it for fastest routes etc. For example from Wolverhampton to Manchester it takes me off the M6 at Stoke which adds at least an extra 35 mins on the journey. The garage says it gets you from A to B so it is okay.Any suggestions?
