I recently bought a TomTom 740 Live sat nav and am pretty pleased with it so far except for the pairing with my phone.

When I first tried it, after a bit of messing about, I somehow got it paired. Then yesterday is decided it could no longer connect to my iPhone.

I've tried deleting the iPhone from the TomTom setup, and unpairing the TomTom from the iPhone and starting again, but no joy.

Basically, I can get to the stage where the iPhone is paired with the TomTom (and I enter the 0000 security code). The TomTom then can either not detect any phones, or when it does it adds the iPhone but then won't connect (and I get the phone with a cross icon on the main screen).

I know it can work as it did fine for a few days, but now nothing. The manual is next to useless and google/TomTom.com didn't help much either.

Any ideas?

All the satnavs seem to struggle with the smartphones, Iphones Nokia N96's .etc im afraid

I think the systems just dont talk to each other properly, there should be something avaliable in the near future to get them working, but thats down to tomtom releasing an update....cant see them not attempting it, best to check with tomtom customer services really

I have found TT's online help service good - try it.

I have not had any problems with my iPhone and TT 920.
