Have I Got News for You Friday 24 April
9:00pm - 9:30pm
BBC1
1/8
TV's best topical panel show by a mile returns for an unlikely 37th series. In TV terms the show may be an old-timer, but its satirical teeth can still leave the kind of wound that must keep its libel lawyers busy. That's thanks to the nimble wit of team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, still the oddest of TV couples and still adept at ripping the events of the week to comedy shreds. No guests or rent-a- host were confirmed before RT went to press, but you wouldn't bet against Alexander Armstrong turning up behind the desk some time soon.

At long last the best TV programme returns (IMO of course) and it looks like the guest presenter is going to be last minute as usual!

Only a couple of hours to go smile

Yup, great show!

This has to be a great example as to how the new website has not worked in the least!

On the old P&P this would of been a laugh. But no....

I thought it was a bit flat overall, especially given how much ammo had been supplied by our beloved leaders over the past few weeks frown

I'll agree with that. Seemed somewhat hamstrung. The Tory politician was just plain odd.

Agree with the comments about how this thread would have been far better in the old format P&P. But hey HM wouldn't be the first website owner to kill the goose.

I tend to watch the HIGSMNFY, the one with all the extra bits.

The one with Obama and Winky outside No10 made me lol.

How damn tall are the Obamas? Even Phil the Greek looked a midget.

It was O.K but it was dissapointing considering how much material they had to work with.

Paul Merton particularly seemed to be trying too hard to be deliberatley 'crazy' and 'off the wall'.
