My Dads Stag with his Austin 10 in the background, this photo would have been taken in around 1990
My Uncle with a peculiar Mini Six Wheel mutant that he and my Dad created to promote their body shop business, this photo was taken in 1981 ................I'm sure at the time this must have seemed like a good idea
Terrific pix

Thirty years ago I had a car in a bodyshop in Harveys Yard, Sudbury (Harvey himself is or was a Dellow specialist). My car took the place of Sting's MGB GT which they had completely restored. IIRC it was the car featured in Don't Stand So Close To Me. They were promised that the great man would come himself in the flesh in person to collect it. When it was ready his people came to fetch it and brought two signed photographs.Oh, well.

No Navigator though, perhaps it's just a club Autotest?.Jaguar XK120 LOE 3. RAC Rally perhaps? - unknown year
Or did they make the navigator get out for driving tests in those days?

The Citroen looks like it could be Blackpool Rd, Preston where Perrys is now.
Got hold of some more photos, confirming that it was Fairways Garage. All trace of the original buildings gone, although the houses in the background remain:1969/70 Morris Minor 1000 Van RFR325H c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
1979 Lada 1200 OCW482T c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
1978 Austin Morris Maxi 1750 HL NFV441T c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
The latest batch of photos I purchased includes everything from the Minor van and Lada up to Jaguar E-Type and XJ-S. Here's one that might be regarded as a 'proper' classic:
1972 MG Midget KRM742L c.1980/81 by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr
Still around with tax and MoT, and recently sold through auction according to a quick Google search. It'd be interesting to see a current photo. Bonus Bond in the background.
Some others:

In my spare time I'm the editor of the Midget & Sprite Club's monthly magazine "Mascot". I sometimes run a "Where are they now?" page. It would be great if we could find this car, so that the current owner can see some old photos. Can I have your permission to reproduce the MG Midget images in the July edition of the magazine. Obviously you'd get full credit and a copy of the magazine.
Thanks in advance

That would be fine Gary. If you send me a message through here it should reach my email account and I'll send you the original scans so you can reproduce them in a different arrangement. According to drivearchive.co.uk, back in 2003 it apparently belonged to a Peter Kerr who'd bought it in 2002. I then found a mention of the car being sold at auction 2014 then 2015 for around £5000.In my spare time I'm the editor of the Midget & Sprite Club's monthly magazine "Mascot". Can anybody ID the seaside resort?
Thanks for reply..
It's a bit hard to tell from Google Earth as it's changed around, but based on the building (arrowed) I think it's Morecambe prom:
That's from a Google Earth view here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@54.07061,-2.876057,...
There seems to be a lot of pedestrianised area closer to the start of the pier, so Streetview doesn't get close enough. But I think the signs do say Lancaster (on the close one) and Lancashire on one further away - can't quite read it, but it looks like it.
