BMW Warranty Renewal

Warranty is up on the Z4 next week. Had a thing through inviting us to renew. Gave an 'illustrative example' of the cost of a Comprehensive policy with BMW Emergency Service on a 50,000 mile Z4 of £427.

Ours has 60k on it, so its not a million miles away. For £427 its worth it for the peace of mind, frankly.

Off I trot to the website, fill in my details and oh hello, its now £679.

£679?!

a) Why? It's a Z4 not an M3
b) So the 'illustrative cost' is basically a complete lie, that or a whole 10k miles makes all the difference?

60k miles is the cut off. If it was 40k or 50k miles the price would be the same. Infact I think you could even go up to 59k miles, but once you click over the 60k the price shoots up. Same with all models, the M3 costing around £1000 per year!

Amazing how when they sold it to us as a used car we had all the speil of how 60k miles is no different to 50k these days
