Always liked the original shaped TT - wish I'd bought a nice green 180 Quattro a few years ago when I had the chance instead of the dreadful A4 2.0FSi Sport that I kept 3 months - but never mind.

Is the TT Sport 240 any good? I love the look and the bucket seats, and I remember Evo ran one for a while. Will have to see if I can find the reviews online.

Anyone on here got one or driven one? I currently have a year old MK5 Golf GTi which is a great all-rounder but I fancy something a bit more "enthusiast" and interesting.

I was thinking of a 996 911 but I don't fancy the running costs and spending another £10k.

Cheers. smile

this would be the write up, called the TT sport I believe.
Guessing the budget is about £10k? How about an S4 V8?

I did wonder - I do love my Golf Gti - just not that special. The TT Sports I've seen are about £14k 55 plate - 20kish miles

The Evo reviews I re-read last night and seemed quite positive.

Cheers.

i owned one for 5k miles. . . it was remapped to 265bhp

stupidly quick, with a very unique "torquey" characteristic

as much torque as my current S4

Also, I could get 42mpg on a 70mph cruise control

lovely looking, unique car. . . though i got rid as i saw it more of a weekend car as the buckets were a PITA everyday !!

Also, based on a 10 yr old car, the interior is a bit dated, albeit of the highest quality
