was thinking of having my ml63amg chipped up by dms they are quoting 550 bhp and a extra 40lb of torque.
they also say that they can uprade the gearbox with softwear from the clkamg blk series which makes throttle response much sharper.
they also remove the resonater on the exhaust which should make it sound even more amazing than it already does.

was wondering if anyone has had any of this work done on there ml63amg?

Hi mate.... Hope you're good? Didn't know you had managed to get hold of an ML63AMG!!

I think you should get it done, DMS have got a good reputation and 550bhp in the ML will be exceptional!! Would be interested to hear how you get on with the gearbox software upgrades.

hi matc,

i managed 2 get a very good deal on a 2007 blk with blk with every extra.
will wait and see what kind of deal i get on a new one or even get a slightly used one with the facelift.
i will most likely get the remap done, spoke 2 kleemann also today and they have a lowering module which can lower the ride height by 40ml which is adjustable at a cost of £1000 approx .

it should look and sound the business wen its all done.

you must be getting ready for the launch of the new e class coupe? saw 2 on the transporter coming 2 my local dealer yesterday looked quite nice one in white and one in black.

if you do come across a good deal on a ml63 amg please give me a ring many thanks amgmaster.

Sorry to hijack your thread. How do you find the car? What's the ride quality like to live with?

the car is fantastic the ride seems fine to me,
you can adjust the suspension to comfort or sport depending on what kind of drive you like.

mine has 20inch wheels on it but i might get the new 21inch wheels that come on the new facelift ml63, then have it lowered for a even more aggressive look.

will post some pics when its all done.

are you thinking of going for 1??

Thanks for the info. I've liked the ML63 since it came out. Running a X5 as my 'sensible' car and now the ML63s are below £40k I'm considering swapping for one.

are you going for the new one if so get the 21inch wheels on it looks so much better with them on, keyless go,sunroof, leather dash, reverse camera, comfort ventilated seats and harmon kardon are the main must have options, auto boot close is standard on the new ml63 as is parktronic.

the car is brilliant to live with comfortable, powerful and discreet with only a very few people realising what it is.

Thanks for your replies. I note that you have both moved on from the ML63 AMG. Would you regard it as a "keeper" or just a good fun car to have for a while?

PS Dean - 360 CS - very nice!

had it 3 months, epic motor, but at the time running that and a diesel x5 in london the ml had to go, its was costing 200 a week in fuel alone....

if you can run it go for it, i do miss it nothing else out there seems to carry the brutal noise and looks....

currently one for sale on the merc site 60k i think from memory, big saving and it looks mega specced up!!!

Do you have a heavy right foot or does it just guzzle gas due to the 6.3 V8?

I'm used to rubbish mileage with a 4.3 V8 but I tend to hoon around in that car - was hoping I'd get something a wee bit better in the ml63

god knows what you'd get gunning it, on a run it crept up to 18 from memory

super unleaded only, mine went into limp mode with the supermarket unleaded fuel!

the car is definatly a keeper i am just putting the spec of the new facelift together 2 see what the best price my dealer will give me on a new one.
if you are buying a new one just make sure you get a good deal or you will lose a shed load of money on it.
they are very greedy on fuel the worst i had on the mpg was 6.7 but i do have a bit of a lead foot.biglaugh.

the car is amazing.

That isn't a pretty motor imho. Last year I saw a Range Rover that was lowered so that the "performance exhaust" actually touched and sparked on the ground occasionally over heavy bumps. I hadn't laughed so hard for months.

i dont think the picture does the car much justice in the flesh it is a stunning motor, the facelift version even more so.

everyone has their own opinion on what looks good and what doesnt but thats why we are all different.
