O Wise ones.

I have a standard one of these & am very happy with it's all round practicality, but toying with the thought of sensible upgrades.

Could anyone advise with likely costs the options out there.

I have seen various items on ebay , induction kits, brake pads & discs, etc.

Was thinking of

a) improving Brakes
b) exhaust mods - even more low end rumble without cruising intrusion
c) what is required & costs to increase upto Lightnings claimed 380BHP.

I live in Essex, so any referrals to specialists in this sort of stuff based around the surrounding M25 area would be appreciated.

You need to get in touch with HD Adam who posts here sometimes.
He runs a fairly quick one with some light modfications.
You will find him on www.rebel-v8.co.uk as one of the mods on there.

Easy to up the power to 400+ at the flywheel, a little care is required
and after any modfication you will need to get the truck on the Dyno to check all is well with air / fuel etc.

Long tube headers and shorter side exit system from the Lightning
will make a better sounding V8

A yes!

I have seen pictures from a previous post of HD Adams pickup, along with his scary apron picture.

What's the best section / forum on rebel V8 to post, as I am not that familiar with it yet.

My name is McF150Supercharged on Rebel.

Cheers & will try get to Avon Park.

Have notice you on Rebel lurking hehe

Best thing to do is post a hello then stick something in the Garage section.

Adam is in Germany at the moment on the Euro SVT meet but back next weekend for the Rebel road trip to Garys Picnic for the drag racing. He will be racing his '03 HD and mine (07) wil be there as well as a few others, plus a lot of Lightnings ranging from stockers to Ricki's and Trickie's monsters...

Catch you on Rebel sometime...

Oh alos check out www.nhtoc.com - basically a US site but full of stuf for all kinds of mods from performance to audio etc on the Harley trucks
