If you buy the production line
www.dovebid.com/Auctions/AuctionDetail.asp?auctionID=2158 and then buy a factory to put it in.

Oh shame! There was me reading the title of this thread and imagining a kitchen table with engine block sat on it, surrounded by oily bits...

Hmmm... doesn't mention the RV8 casting dies, which you'd need to get a foundry to cast the raw blocks for you in the first place. I realise you could use/ adapt this eqpt. for other engines, but as it was dedicated to the RV8, seems sensible to continue

Who would realistically buy this gear? Will they continue to manufacture RV8s, or will the line be adapted? What sort of figure might you be looking at to aquire the full set up?

Regardless, I don't think my savings account will stretch to it, nor will my garage for that matter...

Not sure this can be right but the quoted size of the machines seems massive - you'd need more than a 100,000 sq ft of warehouse. And it looks like you'd be legally bound to remove all of it if your £1 was accepted. Could end up being an expensive purchase at £1!!!
