.... until I get myself a new job!

I was made redundant for the first time ever this morning!

I have suspected that redundancy was a possibility for a few months now, but didn't actually believe it would happen..... until this morning.

Am totally gutted, angry, upset, and furious - all at the same time!

Beer tonight, and open the "contacts" book tomorrow.

What makes me the most angry is that my 356 replica build has now been placed back on the shelf.

I suppose in a way, it's a good job that I hadn't actually started it yet..... but I'm still p155ed off!

Meeja,
I’m really, really sorry to hear this!
Keep your chin up and be comforted by the fact that your next job shall be a better one.

What can I say Meeja mate

I am sure everybody on the kit car forum is rooting for you and hopes you get fixed up with something decent before too long,

Don't worry too much about the motor, that will always be there for later, put all your energies into finding a new job, usually when one door shuts another door opens

Life can be a bitch at times

Meeja,
By all means, follow Wacky's advice in putting a lot of effort into finding a new job.

Not all of it though.

I've put you down to get the next three issues of Kit Car - to help keep the Kit Car embers burning.

I'd have brought you a if you were more local.

PS. Wacky is right. One door opens as another closes. It's the first law of doors.

Thanks for cheering me up a bit!

A few pints, and an evening in front of the TV with Mrs Meeja (rather than working!) and I feel a bit better!

Have just come onto the computer to prepare my final expenses claim..... it comes to over £500!!!!

That'll be useful!

Will keep you all posted on the job front!

KCM - What a star!

Going to bed now (hic).... or can I fit one more pint in?!

Just an update really....

Have been freelancing since "getting the call" in December.

Looks like full-time employment is beckoning from one of the companies I have been freelancing for

Project back on then!

Roll on Stafford!

Is anyone going to Stafford? I went last year and frankly it was pants. Drove up from Bedford so wasn't best impressed.

Can't wait for Stoneleigh. It will be about 2 weeks before I pick up my kit so will be going purchase crazy!

I did this last year, and frankly Stafford was a pain. Not many manufacturers, not many owners and not many parts stalls.

This year I plan to do Stoneleigh and Donnington.

It happened out of the blue yesterday afternoon! Completely unexpected. About a month ago, I thought it was a possibility, but circumstances dictated that it wasn't going to happen...... until yesterday!

On hold, yes. That is still our long term plan.
