OK - we've all been suggesting it for a while ...

A few of us had a successful Wedge meeting near Welyn GC and there was another meeting near Andover... and there are a few Wedge owners in Surrey...

So - let's try for a meeting place where all could meet up.

I've looked at the map and High Wycombe does seem to be equi-distant from all of us ... plus there are a few local Wedge owners there to find us a nice place to meet up (deserted car parks.. pubs etc).

So - if everyone is happy with the general location then the local owners will need to find a venue and some good local roads for us to have a blat along (and re-grouping place).

When, well - let's get Christmas out of the way as most of us have to do the family thing (not me though.. I've played the Joker this year and I'm off to the Himalaya's for 3 weeks..)...

How about a Saturday in Feb.... (January can be bleak..)

So, who wants to come along and do you like the general idea / meeting place.. ?

High Wycombe a bit far north for me, having lived there till I was 18, I would suggest somewhere like Marlow/Beaconsfield/Maidenhead.

They are still very easy to get to, albeit on Motorways, and we are less likely to have to bring our own bricks and take the wheels off and put them in the boot!!!

It may have changed (18 was a long time ago)

Sounds like a laugh (the meet that is, not High Wycombe) I'm up for it.

just a suggestion but, when i was into the Jap car scene they used to organise big meets at Ryka's carpark at the bottom of Boxhill in Dorking on a Saturday (gets very busy with bikes on a sunday).

It's a good venue as it's very close to the motorway, is surrounded by some fun roads, and they've got burgers.

Mine will go back on the road 1st March. What about the top of West Wycombe hill?

Great idea Rev. When I said High Wycombe I didn't mean in it but there are some great roads close by.

A convey/flypast down Marlow High Street e.g. would be just wedge heaven!

I'll start looking for venues too!

BoxHill - nice venue but it's not really central....

How about somewhere close to Heathrow ? Get a few Camcorders, and a rolling wedge convoy through the Heathrow Tunnel ?
Im up for any meeting towards the end of Feb - March would be better still though.

Sounds superb, Gaz has allready requested a passenger seat. I can help find a location. Heathrow tunnel might not be a bad idea! Can I request a Sunday as I allways work Saturdays?

Gavin (awaiting new exhaust with baited breath, hhhmmmm heathrow tunnel)

Sounds a great idea. I'll be there. Anywhere within a 75 mile radius of Slough suits me fine.

Hey Guys -

Glad to see someone is trying to get some Wedges together! I hope I can come to this meeting in Feb., though it is some way away from me, but I'll be close to home (original) if held near Aylesbury/Wendover!

I'm still hoping to get some peeps together at say Finchingfield or threabouts which would easily allow for some of you to come from Herts, Bucks, Beds, Cambs, Suffolk, Kent, Surrey etc. A few have expressed interest.

However, don't forget the Mid Essex TVRCC meet at Great Totham next Sunday 14 Dec.. It really is a great venue and should be OK for people to come to from far and wide - just a run up the A12 and a few miles of country roads. The club people at Mid Essex are rather keen on Wedges!

So come on down! www.midessextvr.co.uk/meeting.htm
