As in the title - need to get fixed by post.

Any suggestions?

TIA

AKG?

I know they repair and service their higher end headphones, including those that have been out of production for years. Means sending off to Austria though.

Ta

I just found a place in Wembley that will collect fix and return. (Not bad considering where I live!)

They just fancy a jolly to the Highlands!

ARe you having to pay much of a premium for the collection/delivery element?

£15 for it to be picked up by UPS. That's not so bad seing as the nearest post office is a 40 mile round trip.

I think AKG are Harmann group now.

Is your 414 a 'vintage' model or is it one of the recent breed (XLS, TLII etc)?

That is pretty astounding value IMHO!

Let me guess.

The selector switches have frozen in a pattern and filter setting you don't want?

I have seen two of them go down in a year, both 2 years old. The new distributor insisted they were out of warranty despite the bright yellow sticker on the box stating they had a 3 year warranty. I kicked up a fuss and they were replaced.
Pretty good as they weren't even my mic's but I was using them.
