It'll have a '15' certificate if your jumper is visible.

A familiar quote in this industry Den!

To be fair, the first of the "is born" series is (I think) three years old now? And Discovery Channels Network have absolutely milked it for all it is worth, and there still seems to be a general interest in the programmes when they are shown, so a DVD release is not suprising.

The only impact it will really have is on the VHS releases that Pilgrim are selling (Are those VHS's bought from i2i by Pigrim, and then re-sold, or are Pilgrim acting as agents.... if Pilgrim have bought the VHS's to re-sell, then the DVD is a bit naughty....)

Personally, I am a fan of all of the "is born" programmes, mainly because of the subject matter, but also because of Mark Evans...... If "Tris Payne" or "Ian Presenter" was fronting the programme, it wouldn't hold azs much water with me..... i2i got their casting spot on with that series.....

I think I'll get one but hide it from the management because if she finds out how much work is involved in a full build she'll never let me have one.

On the other hand she has said she likes the look of the cobra

BTW meeja have you seen the article on Totalkitcar website ref 2-4 as mentioned in my other thread

Fully agree Meeja, Mark Evans is an excellent presenter, very funny, I followed his Westfield build with great interest, pity it was such a naff colour (imo) of course.

The Westfield build was a good one... because they only spent half the series on the build, then they concentrated on competing in events...

Can't remember the name of the first competition, but it was a bit like an obstacle course, with handbrake turns etc etc

Then they went hill-climbing, then onto full circuit racing.

I'm not a huge fan of "seven-styles" but did enjoy that series.

It's also one of the DVD's being released.....

I think it's called "Autotesting" or something similar.

I think KC is out in a weeks time.

The RaceCar is born series kept me motivated earlier this year and I WILL be doing a hillclimb in my car, should it ever be finished.

Fact is that both Pilgrim and Kit Car magazine are selling the videos. The DVD isn’t going to help much.

My understanding is that the core footage is copyright i2i who sold it to Discovery. I paid i2i to produce an edited, shorter 2 ½ hour version to sell to promote the Kit Car industry generally and Pilgrim specifically. The editing cost me a Chevy engine. So I’m not happy that the DVD has arrived, but I had a good run for my money, so I’m happy overall.

Richard’s agent has been onto me. Pleading for one of my jumpers to enhance Richard’s career prospects. I wouldn’t part with any of them. Not at any price, ‘cos they are presents from my mother in-law.
