End of last year i got a Mesa Boogie f100 2x12 amp delivered to someone.I had it unbelievably well protected and had the handle sticking out the top for easy handling, when the guy received it they had managed to break off the standby switch, god knows how?It was UPS by the way incase you want to stay clear! So,in light of this can anyone recommend a good, safe company for delivering heavy amps in the UK?Im buying one off Ebay, its a 2x12 valve amp and weighs 38kg,thanks!

if you are spending mesa money i would collect it yourself. i sold a fender BJ on ebay and delivered it to the guy personally, it wasn't worth the hassle of a courier cocking up and the buyer opening a paypal dispute i'd be sure to lose.

heard horror stories about all the big players, just make sure its insured. FWIW i sent a gretsch hollowbody to ireland via royal mail and it arrived unmarked.

where's it going from/to?

Perhaps meet the buyer half way?
