Any thoughts on the best investment advice for £100k? There arent many high interest accounts around anymore, I could pay off some of our mortgage but as interest rates are so low at present it doesnt seem a good use of the money. Buy a property while the market is in the doldrums? Id love to fritter it on an exotic car but the practical side to me is taking precidence. Help!

I would think paying off as much of your mortgage as possible at the time when interest rates are lowest and you can do it as cheaply as possible is the best solution? Would certainly save you the most money over the long term unless you have a particularly good other investment to put that 100k in to.
