Like her, like the tune, BUT, when my 9 year old daughter starts singing the lyrics 'Giving you head in the middle of the bed' I'm thinking, why cant you save the track for the album!

Same goes for Ms Spears current ditty, I think its called 'If You Seek Amy' (F-U-C-K Me!)

The pop market is predominantly for 8 to 15 year old (girls mainly). Radio stations should tighten up on this.

I know I sound like a grumpy old codger but.....wait till you have kids!

I had the same horror when my niece (age 7) starting singing 'apple bottom jeans' whilst doing the dance she learnt in the playground frown

Thanks to her mother she also knows the entire cast of Eastenders and is quite engrossed in the story banghead

Problem is that so many people download tracks via MP3 search or torrent sites, and end up getting the album versions rather than the radio edits.

So the unsuitable versions end up on kids iPods.

IMO kids should not be watching Eastenders. Just because it's prewatershed so has no swearing doesnt meant it's acceptable. It still wallows in the worst aspects of human behaviour.

That's just silly. Maybe she meant it... but unless you speak with a serious speech impediment, it won't come out badly. I head the song and the complaints on some radio station. I couldn't see it myself and I like those youtube videos where they purposely change the words.

I do agree, though. The artists know this so they should behave and not try to act cool and rebellious. Not that I give a st, not having children myself. So, as I like to say to my friends with kids, "Hahahahaha!" *points at you*

It's Britney Spears, it's not a speech impediment it's her singing voice!

TBH I couldn't hear it. Maybe I'm just so used to listening to music that just has blatant swearing.

As said, the lyrics are different when played on tv/radio.

So the question is, how has your 9 year old got hold of the song with the original lyrics???

It's definitely on purpose "All the boys and all the girls are begging to If you seek Amy" deos nto make sense. Radio edit has if you see amy doesn't it? I think in eneral radio edits are pretty good these days.

I like the Lilly Allen song but heard the radio edit the other day on BBC R2. It makes no sense with the "bad" bits missing so whats the point in playing it at all?

It's not JUST about the lyrics you know.

How do you cope with instrumental music? winkbiggrin

To be honest I dont normally listen to lyrics (much the the wife's annoyance) but radio edits do often sound blatently edited.
