I'd prefer my longsword to any gloves. biggrin

First guy to wear a glove in UFC. biggrin

I've started following a bare-knuckle fighter on fb at the moment, called Decca Heggie, interesting to say the least!

The BKB scene is growing really quickly and there's half decent money to be made at the minute as the skill level of the guys fighting is pretty low so people with a half decent boxing background can do well, if it continues to grow as it is though i can see many pro's that struggle to get licenses switching over. I know a few lads from the MMA scene that have got involved and seem to love it, though apparantly the people you get at the shows are even bigger dick heads than those that attend a typical MMA or boxing event

Yeah, I was a bit surprised, but it is sort of in a grey area legally.
Have to say, on the 'dheads', yeah, just reading the comment sometimes amazes me, not least because I feel I need interpreting software to understand what they are talking about.
There was a big fight recently between Decca and some 6'7 20 stone bloke called, Cyril. UNreal. biggrin

I haven't watched it on TV as I was there and the last two fights were pretty dull. Bamma have strated uploading the videos to youtube now from the show, our fighter Harry Marple picked up a good win

Fight night tonight - Stipe Vs Hunt. And no-one is showing it. FFS.

Have BT sport lost some fights?

It seems to be listed as an event on Tivo, just has no time or channel linked to it.

Yeah, it's certainly not showing up in my planner.

How disappointing.

If you look on the UFC app in the news section there is a item which shows all of the countries the event is being shown in and on which channels. There is an unbelievable amount of countries and the UK is definitely not listed! Very disappointing!!

Gutted this was only on fight pass, all the reports indicate it was a good card with lots of finishes

Yep, from what I've seen the main event was a brutal affair!

How is Hunt a #5 heavyweight?!? He's 10-10-1.

That bout went on for too long. The official should have stopped it in Round 3, Hunt was a human punching bag. Every single fight I see of him has been the same: he comes out for first round or two swinging and dangerous, then he gets tired and it gets into a total slugfest as he takes shots. He's a tough bd but he's not winning fights like that.

Hmmm... Just how good is the answer? Shame about big slow, and Mackney is looking better and better...

I think Frankie may have the style to give Conor big problems. Interesting to see if he gets the winner of Aldo v Conor. Didnt understand why Munoz was underdog in the Bigslow fight, always expected him to win. Credit to Luke for taking a tough fight in enemy territory though.

Travis Browne vs Arlovski was a damn good bout. I was thinking about betting on that match - i'd have won.

Without reading anything aboput 187 - fking BT Sport managed to completely kill the recording, starting the recording at the end of 187. So, I have to keep myself away from UFC, Youtube, this thread and everything else until 22:00 today. s!

I have seen the prelims, which were terrible. Boring or disappointing performances.
